Power Washing Tip #1
Most surfaces can be cleaned properly with the water pressure set at 2,000 psi. Having the pressure washer set above 2,700 can burn wood, tear screens, and do unwanted damge.
Power Washing Tip #2
Secondly, if you have not been on an extension ladder in a few years and you are over 45 years of age, please don’t take it personally. The risk is not worth a few hundred dollars. Your medical deductible is more than the cost of power washing.
However, if you are set on power washing an area above 14′, consider getting a wand extension, and you can clean from the ground.
Power Washing Tips 3-7
- Remove Screens prior to power washing.
- Don’t let the chemicals dry on the surfaces, especially the windows. Bleach can etch the glass.
- If you clean and use bleach, add liquid detergent to thicken up the surface.
- Let the cleaning chemical sit for 15 minutes before rinsing off. This will ensure the mold spores were killed.
